A veteran hospitality professional with experience across the United States, Chef Lanny Chin brings a unique eye and attention to detail to the kitchens and concepts of 81/82 Group. Chin’s love for food dates to his early childhood when he used to join his grandfather in the kitchen of the restaurant he worked at as a chef.

An Ohio native, Chin earned his degree from International Culinary Arts and Science Institute before working in the kitchens of some of the county’s best restaurants including Chicago’s lauded Alinea and Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.

Landing in Las Vegas, Chin served as the executive chef for the area’s PKWY Traven locations, overseeing menu development, training, and operations. In 2017, he was tapped to join Clique Hospitality as their Executive Chef for the $690 million revitalization of the Palms Casino Resort with their two 2018 venue launches - APEX Social Club and Camden Cocktail Lounge. Ahead of the 2019 opening, Chin joined Clique’s Greene Street team as Chef de Cuisine, bring personal touches to the modern American menu at PALMS. While working with Clique, Chin appeared on Food Network’s Chopped – winning his episode. In late 2019, Chin joined the opening team for The Slanted Door Las Vegas, bringing Chef Charles Phan’s vision to life.

Working with 81/82 Group President Ryan Labbe, Chin brought playful takes on a traditional taqueria to Mas Por Favor ahead of the Spring Mountain Road opening in 2020. Following the opening, Chin took on a larger role with 81/82 Group to become Corporate Executive Chef. His second project with 81/82 Group, La Neta, brought elevated Mexican flavors to Downtown Summerlin in 2021.

When not in the kitchens at Mas Por Favor and La Neta, Chin can be found in his home kitchen, creating new dishes and his world-famous ramen.
